I see that I titled a previous blog "Busy Month". Well, here's to a busy week. I'll start with last Saturday, because I had to make another trip into Grand Junction for another set of fingerprints (which I already told you). Tamara came with me again, and we had time to just browse in stores, and I got a few new tops, and we spent an hour in Hobby Lobby! It was fun. Also had lunch at the Genghis Grill, which is Mongolian style food. It was awesome! We're getting that chain restaurant here in Montrose, too! Along with Applebee's and Rib City Grill. Motown is really growing!! A good place to be.
Well, Monday I went up to the YWAM base to cook dinner, as the staff had a speaker in the afternoon, so they weren't available to cook. I made lasagne. Then Tues. morning I had to meet with a police officer and city code officer to make plans to put notices on the mobile homes that needed it. We want to get alot of trash cleaned up, old vehicles removed, etc. Then I went to answer phones at the church till 4 p.m.
Wed. I babysit for a Community Bible Study for the morning. That's a small paid job. :) Then I went up to the base again, along with Tamara, and made Navajo Tacos. They are so good!
Thursday was a bit less stressful (busy), but I did have to make a supper to take to a couple, Jack and Dixie, since Jack had a brain tumour, and they got most of it, but he's in radiation and a chemo pill. I did a pot roast for them, beef, and a pork roast for us at home. It always smells so good, and then you have to give it away! So I did two. :)
Then a friend phoned to see if I could watch her three kids for a while, when she went to a Dr.'s appointment. So that took a good part of the afternoon, plus I delivered 35 notices to the mobiles in our Park. I didn't get it all done before I had to take the supper over, so I finished at 8 p.m. last nite!! It was a long day!
Today, Friday, I'm relaxing this morning, after going to Curves, and scoring Arlin's Chemistry test! He needs Dad's help!!
I have errands to run this afternoon, and then meet with a lady that wants to move a mobile home in here. That part's not to bad to do here. It's the plugged septics, or broken water pipes that aren't fun!! It hasn't been bad over all the 1 1/2 years we've been here, tho!
Mark is finishing the skirting on the RV today, since it's a sunny day. They had a bit of trouble with the furnace not working sometimes. It seems to be unpredictable, unless the propane tank is empty. :0
This Saturday the deer season begins, and Ernie, Wes, and Arls have doe tags. They didn't get an elk last weekend :( so I sure hope we get a deer or two for meat!
So on to another week, the last one in Oct! How quickly it goes!
