Switched on Christmas

It seems that this year I've noticed it the most, that the day after US Thanskgiving, you 'switch Christmas on!' It's called 'Black Friday', not because it's bad, but because the stores go from being in the red, to being in the black because of all the shopping! We don't adventure into the stores that morning at all! But there are some good sales.
The other thing I notice is that the Christmas lites come on. The weekend after Thanksgiving is a good time for those lites to go up, because alot of people have a long weekend off from work. So it really gets you into the Christmas mood. I'm feeling it too, but I usually wait to put up a Christmas tree till after my B'day on the 10th of Dec. Maybe I can't wait this year!
Also, there is constant Christmas music on the radio stations! In Canada, it seemed to 'come on' gradually, but here it's the day after! I guess I'm still adjusting to cultural changes.
I went up to Ernie's logging camp for a couple days, since he was 'down' for Thanksgiving and that Friday, too. There is alot of snow there, and it gets cold at nite. Like snow-camping~except we have heat in the trailer! It was nice to get away for a couple days, but I sure wouldn't want to live there all the time. I'm not that much of a pioneering woman!
May we wish you all a lovely Christmas season, as you meet with friends, buy gifts, and help those in need. GOD BLESS!
