Well, it looks like I'm getting only one blog a month done! I'm a busy woman! We had a B'day party for Arlin on Jan. 21st, when he turned 17. He had some friends over, and they played "Apples to Apples". It sure was fun watching them!
Then the next morning, Sunday, Wes, Ernie and I left for Cranbrook (Cranny), BC. We drove all the way to Missoula, MT the first nite, then crossed the border at 1 p.m. on Monday! We went up there to clean out our house and get it ready for sale. We took several loads to the dump, and several others to the secondhand store! Felt good to get rid of alot of stuff, but my, my, was there ever still alot of stuff we wanted to keep! Ernie worked on the garage stuff most of the time, and I got the cupboards cleaned out.
When we left Cranny in March, 1997(!!) we left all of our furniture and almost all of our dishes, sheets, etc in the house. We brought a few things down over the years, like bookshelves, beds and things, but alot stayed behind stored there. When our renters, the Marunchaks left the place in Oct. 2003, they also left some of their stuff in the house, since there were two single guys renting it then. So it was interesting going through everything and trying to remember what was mine, Brenda's or the guys'! It's done, though, with only a large bed left there that Ernie really wanted to bring down.
We loaded a U'Haul on Monday, Jan. 30th, and left that evening at 6 p.m. I remember looking back and the house and saying "Good-bye" to it! It was a blessing to live there~and that was the house we were in when Arlin was born.
The neat thing is that we knew of a couple buyers, and are still persuing a contract with one of them!! The prices have gone up so quickly in the E. Kootenay area, because people are buying up subdivideable land! Ours definitely has about 50+ acres that can be sub-divided. So the buyer, a Rick Klassen, is very, very, interested!! He came out and walked the land with Ernie in a snowstorm, and is very pleased with it. They own a nice home just outside of Cranbrook, and are thinking of selling it. So we'll keep all this in prayer and see what happens. The really nice thing about Rick and Kathy buying it, is they would renovate it, so said not to clean the house thoroughly. They will use whatever we left there, so that was easy on us. Especially when the ground is covered in snow. We can't even see all that's laying around!
But I'm sure we'd have to go up sometime to do some contract stuff (if it can't be done by faxes) and tax stuff. Maybe just Ernie will go.
So that's why you haven't heard from me in awhile! I've also got to get forms filled out for reimbursement from Samaritan Ministries from Ernie's pinched nerve episode. Then I take care of our friends' mail and bank accounts~the ones that are missionaries to Pakistan~so my time has flown by!
Ernie and Wes will be moving their machines to a new area this next week, so then everything will be back to schedule!
Please post even a short comment so I know you've read my blog. =)

Bon
We check your blog often, keep bloggin!
Hey Mom, even though we see you all the time and know whats going on in your life pretty much most of the time I still read your blog!=) Jenn
Hi Lil, glad you got back safely - does Montrose seem more like home by now than Cranbrook? Had a wonderful visit with Heidi, who definitely felt the tug of home pulling her when we parted ways. Our time was short and Very sweet. I wonder if this is only me, but I find the font and size of the font on your blog very difficult to read (even with my progressive lenses). Last month's font was easier. I do check your blog more often than you think, so keep it up. Love Judy
Okay, Jude, I'll get a bigger font for you so it's easier to read!!
:-)
I just read your blog...How fun! I never thought I would be getting into this kind of thing...I love it. Audrey
