Well, folks, March 25th, 1997, is when we left Canada and moved to Colorado! It's a trite saying, but time sure does fly! Arlin's been in the US for over half his life, now. He was 8 when we left, and is now 17.
I'm getting good at saying the right words in the right country, like restroom here, instead of washroom! There are many others that we have to get used to, also, but it's a cultural thing that 'in Rome, you do as the Romans do', so to speak. I think that the Americans wanted to make sure they did some things different when they gained their independence from England, so spellings and words changed and evolved. So be it.
Today is the first day of spring, and the sun is trying to prove it. I think on the other side of the Rockies (ie. Colorado Springs) they're having a severe snowstorm. Heard of businesses and schools being closed today. Doesn't sound like spring to me!
We have had the bout with the sore throat and cold here. My friend in Pakistan is getting it too, and claims she got it from me! Maybe! We chat quite often on msn, so maybe a germ went thru!
The boys had a fun volleyball tournament all day Sunday at the high school. Arls had a team, and Wade and Wes were on a different team. They were made up of two guys and two girls. Arls' team was third, and Wade and Wes' was first! There were 7 teams altogether. Still need to get some cousins over here (Warren, Terry & Jeff!) to give these guys some good competition!

Sorry about the color!! It looked so nice on the white background, but when you publish it, it's hard to read.
Well, then I fooled around a bit more, and decided to delete the other post, and made this one yellow! Easier to read, eh?
Hi Lil I'm Meredith, (Jennifer's sister). I happened upon your blog and I would like to ask do you say soda instead of pop? Anytime I go to the states I forget that one and they look at me like I'm nuts! Congratulations on 9 years!
Meredith
No, I still say pop, and there is such a difference even across the U.S. The easterners are just as different as Canadians and Americans! Guess that true in Canada, also. If you went to the Maritimes, you'd wonder where they came from! =)
Hey, us easterners were here first so I think we say things the correct way and the westerners are a little strange!
