Interruptions

Well, definitely a fun interruption~to my report on our Pakistan trip.
Yes, my girls planned a surprise party for me on Saturday morning, the 9th. I was shocked and surprised, because I was going to a baby shower! Here were all these ladies dressed like old folks! It was a fun exaggeration (I hope it always will be!)
We had a bingo game, and the prizes were coke-bottle glasses, a bag of prunes, and a hearing-enhancer (a cone you put to your ear). Funny, no one took them home!! I landed up with them. =)
It's great that we can still laugh at our age, and have the blessing of health and friends! I enjoyed it greatly. After that party, Ernie and I went to shop in Grand Junction, and he got me a heart-shaped topaz necklace, the birthstone for Dec. We had a lovely meal at Outback in the evening, after finding a couple Christmas gifts.
Then Sunday the kids had planned a lunch for me (that I knew about!) with 'old' friends from our YWAM days. It was a great time of food and fellowship! I am blessed, I am blessed.
So now I'll continue with the Pak trip blogs.
