HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Yes, this is a big weekend down here! I say 'down here' because we're Canadians also! But it's great to have a time to celebrate our freedom with family and friends around!Here in Montrose they have a sort of sports day the Saturday closest to the 4th. This was on the 2nd, the day after Canada Day, so it was special to us.The Goodwins entered alot of races, and came away with just over $1000 worth of MAMA bucks!! (Montrose Area Merchants Assoc) So it's money that has to be spent in Montrose, but it's value is full cash!!!Wade and Jenn made $575, and Wes made $512.50. Some races two people enter, so they have to share the bucks. But our guys were winning quite a bit that the announcers made some comments on how the Goodwins maybe should sponsor some races next year!! Ernie may just do that, under Goodwin & Sons.It's been a hot weekend, but the wind really came up today. (Sun) Wade and Jenn took their boys camping up past the YWAM base at Cimarron. Sure hope it's not raining up there. Wes and Arlin will do some climbing tomorrow, and then go back to work later in the afternoon.I'm going up to the YWAM base after Ernie leaves, to make apricot jam!! We picked three coolers full on Friday, and they're getting very ripe. I won't do all of them in one day, tho!We'll have fireworks in all the towns on Monday nite at dark. I'll probably come down to Jenn's parents' place and have a BBQ and watch them right from their house!Ernie is going to take our Sandpiper RV up to Kremling tomorrow, (yes, sisters, I'm going to the Kremlin again!) :-) and then I'll go up with Wade on Friday nite and stay there for a week! (Wade has to come back )I'm excited!! We'll have all the hookups, etc, not the guys' place where they are in the bush. Wade is coming up because the guys have another volleyball tournament in Steamboat Springs Sat. and Sun. We sure enjoy watching them.Okay, now I'll have to tell you all that I'm on this new blog, because I couldn't fix the others. :(
