A Short Trip
Well, it's been a very busy week for me again. Guess it's great to keep it that way, the time goes quickly. But I do have moments (hours) of boredom. I bought a puzzle for 25 cents on Saturday at a yard sale!! It's got all kinds of fish that are in European waters! Guess I'm kind of getting into fish with my new fishtank. I actually got it clear of ammonia~tested clear today!! Yeah. Hopefully no more fish will die. I can get the ones that are gone, replaced, too. So I need a Rasboro, and Neon Tetra and two shrimp. I'll get them when I come back from this trip. We leave tomorrow (Thurs, 11th) for Sante Fe, NM, for Mark's grad! Yeah! He got his Master's Degree, and the ceremony is on Fri. at 11 a.m. Terran, Naomi, Wade, Jenn and boys are all coming, too. Mark's family is planning on being there to celebrate also! It will be a crowded little apartment. :) So those of you who know Tamara and Mark could send congratulations to their blogspot at Marriage Magazine! We're still praying that he can find the right job with his qualifications now. The plan is for them to stay in Sante Fe for the time being, because Tamara has a good job. So hopefully Mark can tutor and even find some parttime teaching positions there. Everyone is coming back home on Saturday, but I'll stay down there for the next week, since Tamara and I go to a Women of Faith conference in Denver on Aug. 19-20th. That should be a fun time together! We get to visit and stay with some friends in Denver, also. We've had alot of rain in the month of Aug. so I'm praying for some warm weather again. It's great for the gardens and lawns, tho. The update on my stolen purse is that I've applied for almost everything that was in that purse, and have received my birth and marriage certificates, but not my passport o green card, yet. Those last two are the most important, because I have to have one of them to get my driver's licence!! I was in tears when I went back to the driver's office for the third time trying to get a replacement!! That is the hardest to get! And when I get called to my 'green card' appointment, I HAVE to have a picture ID to get into that office. So pray with me that my passport will arrive soon! I sent it off the beginning of July, so they've had the 20 business days they said it takes to process it. You can never get thru to them by phone!! It's always busy. Can be quite frustrating, but the Lord is teaching me to see what is really important. There could be much worse things happen to a person, so I'm thankful it's something that can be 'fixed'. At least I'm not planning on leaving the country, because I couldn't go anywhere right now. So I'll be satisfied with my short trip for 10 days!
