We had such a good weekend at Mark's grad. Our whole family was there to celebrate with him. We stayed at a hotel that had a pool, so all the kids got to swim and play together. It seemed that others stayed away because the Goodwin boys were having diving races! So fun to watch them.
It was also Naomi's B'day on the 12th, so we celebrated that with a dinner at a Santa Fe restaurant.
Then Ernie, Wes, Arlin, Wade, Jenn and their boys went home on Saturday, and I stayed in Santa Fe with M&T till the next Thursday. We went to Denver then, and stayed with Lorrie and Leonie, Ywammers from Cimarron, to attend the Women of Faith conference. That was great! It was refreshing, and we laughed SO hard at Patsy Clairmont's stories, it hurt.
Then Tamara and I came to Montrose on Sunday afternoon, she stayed the night, and then we had lunch up at YWAM on Monday, and she left from there. It was a nice long weekend for her, too.
Tonight I'll go up to the logging camp with my boys, since they come down to the town of Delta to play volleyball again. They have to practice, because they play a tw0-on-two tournament on Saturday in Grand Junction. So I'll be in camp on Friday, in GJ on Saturday, and then we go to Littleton, CO that nite to stay in a hotel so we can go to Boulder on Sunday! Quite the travellers, eh? Well, we've got tickets to see those two gal Olympic players, Misty May and Kerry Kralch (SP?) Should be fun!
Then I will start Arlin in PACES on Monday, I hope!! I won't tell him it's Labor Day, so maybe he'll forget.
But, we have a boarder, now~Matt Gordon~who will probably have the day off from work. So they may do something together. Matt will be here till he flies back to Pakistan on Sept. 21st.
We've had very rainy weather the month of August. When the sun does come out, though, it warms up quickly. Just seems like Fall is coming too soon. Kids are all back in school here in Montrose.
It's been so good to read all the other blogs, too!
