A Busy Month!

Yes, it's been so busy I haven't blogged for a month! As I mentioned in the last blog, Mark and Tamara moved up here to Montrose, and have decided to stay in our RV for the winter and save up some mula. We'll have to put some skirting around the Sandpiper to keep it a bit warmer. But they seem to be happy there.
Today was Tamara's 27th birthday! Amazing how time flies! I took her to Grand Junction on Tuesday for a 1/2 day of shopping and lunch with Terran and Naomi at a neat restaurant. Today she got roses from her hubby, and then went to the Nepal Restaurant here in Montrose. Then tonite we had her birthday cake at Wade and Jenn's after Wade's flag football game. So it was a good day for her!
It's also been a good couple days for me, because I had my biometrics done in GJ on Tuesday (that's the fingerprints and picture for INS~which is now called USCIS~US Citizenship and Immigration Services!) so I had proof that I am legally in the States, so today I could get my driver's licence renewed!! I haven't had any ID since June 28th when my purse was stolen. I had to 'get on' Passport Canada to expedite my passport so I'd have it by this last Tuesday. It helps when you know how to call them. Man, it's hard!! I got my passport last Thurs. just in time. So now I have to wait~months, maybe~for my official green card.
I also found out at the USCIS office that I qualify to become a US citizen!! I'm going to go for it, so I don't have so many hassles!! I've been a permanent resident for four years, and since I'm married to a US citizen, I can be naturalized after three years of residency. So Wade and I could have started the process a year ago. We'll do it now!
Tuesday, Oct. 4th, seems to be the day that Fall really hit. The air is quite cool now, but it's nice when the sun is out. Ernie has had some snow where he's logging, and they hope and pray for cold so the road freezes for the log trucks. Better than slippery rain.
Mark has got a job for right now~at WalMart! Tamara has turned in her resume at several places, had a couple interviews, but didn't want some of the jobs. So we hope she hears from City Hall this next week.
Keagan turns 3 on Oct. 15th, and his party is on the 16th. That's also hunting week for our guys. I really hope to get an elk in the freezer this year.
Then the 26th of Oct. is Mark's birthday. So it's a full month, but enjoyable! Hope we can post some pictures of these times. I don't remember how to do it on here. ;0

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, Lil. Thanks for the card you sent snail mail! We are having the kids for supper tonight. Only Kim cannot make it. Glad you got your drivers liscence. What a pain to lose so many cards. Yesterday was Kerry's 28th birthday! Take care. Marge
