Boy, it's hard to believe Sept. is here already!! They are putting up Fall colors in the stores, and Hallowe'en stuff is coming in, too. Sort of sad, as another year is soon going to end.
Well, we had ONE more weekend of volleyball, and that was in the famous town of Aspen, CO! It's a tourist town, but it is amazing how many people live there. It's beautifully situated in the mountains, and so the fall colors were just starting to show on brushy mountainsides. Wade and Wes entered the 'A' division of volball, and won one, but lost two. So they were done Sunday morning. We watched some open (sand) volball, and then came back home. We had taken our RV to stay in, since Aspen is so touristy that all the hotels would be taken. It was fun, and W&W have learned how to play better.
Well, Mark and Tamara are moving up to Colorado this week, and Mark is here already. Tamara has to work till Friday, the 9th, and then they need to get their apartment inspected on Sat. So Ernie will take a moving trailer down and load them up on Friday. They will stay in our RV till they find out where they'll live. They hope to find jobs in Grand Junction!
So it's still been quite busy for me.
This Fall will be just as busy, as I'm taking a nursery-watching job for the Community Bible Study in town. It's just Wed. mornings, but I'll get a bit of spending money. Then Thursdays I'll do the grocery shopping for YWAM, and then take it up to the base, and even cook suppers sometimes! They will not have a DTS this Fall, as they didn't get enough students. So they'll just re-group as a staff, have a retreat time, and be ministered to by teachers that will still go up to stay at the base.
