Yes, a granddaughter!!!!

Well, this was a great weekend, with Mark and Tamara visiting us from Sante Fe, and then Wade and Jenn's news about creating a granddaughter for us! She had a pink sleeper hanging on a mirror that we were supposed to see when we walked in the door. But I thought it was just a baby gift for someone else. But when I went into her kitchen, there were two ultrasound pictures on the fridge. Now why would you have those of someone else's baby?? So the light bulb finally came on!
It took the rest of the weekend to actually sink in. It will be fun buying girly things now! Maybe she'll even come a bit early on my B'day! That would be special. :)
Today was also Jenn's last day at her job. She had given notice a couple months ago, because they knew way back then that she was having their third child! I just thought she wanted to be home more (true) and get into more cake-decorating. It all worked to keep us from guessing!
We had a good visit with Mark and Tamara, and they left to go back this morning. They still are waiting to hear about a job opportunity for Mark. His graduation is on Aug. 12th, and we all plan on going there to congratulate him in person! Should be a fun weekend.
The Olathe sweet corn is on!! It's SOOOO good. Wish you all could come and taste it! See if it's in your stores, just like we get those awesome blueberries from Abbotsford, BC in our City Market stores!! They're the best.
We've had such lovely hot weather, but the reprieve is here~rain, lightning and thunder. It should get warmer toward the end of this week, tho.
